My Approach

     Welcome and thank you for visiting my website. If you are here perhaps you are ready to take steps forward.

    The work I do is client driven which means first and foremost you have to show up for yourself. I facilitate in reconnecting you to the aspects of yourself you are disconnected from. You will discover means to find your personal power, and realign with your inner navigational system; your intuition. Learning to trust your own emotions and thoughts and getting clear on what benefits you positively in your life and what no longer serves you. This allows old worn out patterns and defense mechanisms to fall away as you discover an authentic and fulfilling path.

We can work on:

  • limiting or self sabotaging beliefs

  • patterns that keep you stuck or repeating behaviors that no longer serve you

  • learning to trust the thoughts or sensations in the body, attempting to guide you

  • tuning into what feels "right" for you and what does not

  • learning how to communicate with your authentic voice

I offer traditional psycho-therapeutic modalities, Reiki, Mindfulness, Guided imagery and Somatic Inquiry. 

    With a wide range of tools, I will always customize the psycho-therapeutic methods and modalities used to suit your needs and comfort level.

    I am a Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario). I studied Spiritual Psychotherapy at Transformational Arts College in Toronto. I have continued education focusing on complications with fertility, pregnancy loss and infancy loss and disordered eating.  I have studyied Therapeutic Models of Mindfulness at Laurier University. I work with mindfulness by implementing guided imagery, meditation and breathing space exercises as well as other mindfully based practices. I utilize somatic inquiry as a means of connecting to bodily sensations related to emotions and patterns of beliefs and behaviours.

   Recently, I began offering Nature Walk and Talk therapy. This is taking our sessions outside either in a forest trail setting or on Oakville's waterfront. Being in nature is scientifically proven to reduce stress and have a calming effect. Imagine taking your session outside for fresh air, moderate movement and therapeutic conversation. I will offer this year round with exception of extreme weather. 


    I have been a Reiki Practitioner for over a decade. This is a modality of healing, relaxing and balancing the body's energy system. I will always maintain, it is not easily explained in words but the effects are beautiful. I act as a conduit for energy (chi, ki, life source energy) which flows to the participant to where it is required. I do not perform any physical manipulation only light laying of hands on the head and shoulders. Once the energy work is complete I sit with my clients and review the session. I consider offering energy work to be an honour and

a privilege.

What is Psychotherapy?

As defined by the CRPO:

"Psychotherapy is primarily a talk-based therapy and is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being. Registered Psychotherapists work with individuals, couples and families in individual and group settings. Psychotherapy occurs when the Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and client enter into a psychotherapeutic relationship where both work together to bring about positive change in the client’s thinking, feeling, behaviour and social functioning. Individuals usually seek psychotherapy when they have thoughts, feelings, moods and behaviours that are adversely affecting their day-to-day lives, relationships and the ability to enjoy life."
